Terms of service
The terms that apply when you install a SproutCart app on your Shopify store.
Effective 6 October 2026 · Questions: hello@sproutcart.co
Agreement
SproutCart builds and operates the apps listed on this site. By installing one of them on your Shopify store you agree to these terms, together with that app's privacy policy and Data protection and security. Shopify's own terms continue to apply to your store and to the Shopify App Store.
Using the apps
- You may use an app for your own store for as long as it is installed.
- You are responsible for what you configure in an app, such as the forms, discounts and questions you show your customers, and for having a lawful basis for the customer data you ask it to collect.
- Do not use the apps to send unsolicited messages or to break the law.
Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed by Shopify, on your Shopify invoice, through Shopify's app billing. The plans for each app are shown on its App Store listing. You can change or cancel a plan at any time from the app, and uninstalling an app cancels its plan.
Data processing
- You decide why your customers' personal data is processed. SproutCart processes it only on your behalf and only to provide the app you installed, as described on that app's privacy page.
- SproutCart does not sell, rent or share your customers' data, does not use it for advertising, and shares it only with the service providers named on the app's privacy page, which process it only to run the app.
- SproutCart protects the data as described in Data protection and security, keeps it confidential, and limits access to the person who operates the apps.
- SproutCart helps you answer your customers: data requests and redaction requests that Shopify sends are handled automatically, as each privacy page describes.
- If a security incident affects your customers' data, SproutCart will tell you without undue delay, and within 72 hours of confirming it.
- When you uninstall an app, its copy of your customers' data is deleted, as each privacy page describes.
Availability and changes
The apps are provided as they are. SproutCart works to keep them running and correct, but cannot promise they will be free of interruptions or errors. When an app's features or these terms change in a way that matters to you, the change is announced in the changelog and the date above moves.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, SproutCart is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, arising from the use of an app, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that app in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. SproutCart may suspend an app for a store that uses it to break these terms or the law.
