Formwell support

Forms that live on your storefront and land in your inbox.

Formwell is in development and not yet on the Shopify App Store, so there is nothing to install yet. Questions about it are still welcome.

Get help

Email hello@sproutcart.co. A person reads every message. To get to an answer quickly, include your store's .myshopify.com address, what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

Setting it up

  1. Install the app and open it from the Shopify admin.
  2. Create a form. It starts with Name, Email and Message fields, all required; edit the field list, the title and the success message.
  3. Set the notification email if you want each submission emailed to you, and mark the form active.
  4. Copy the storefront address shown on the form's page and link to it from your menu, footer or any page.
  5. Read submissions in the app's Submissions list, or in your inbox as they arrive.

What it does not do yet

  • Fields are edited as a short JSON list, not dragged into place. A visual builder is not built.
  • Forms are standalone pages; there is no theme block that places a form inside another page.
  • No file uploads, no CAPTCHA, no CSV export and no redirect after submitting.
  • The storefront form and the notification email are in English only. The admin is in English and French.
  • A required checkbox is enforced by the browser, not by the server.
  • The email notification setting is stored but not yet read; a form with a notification address always sends.
  • It has not yet been run against a live Shopify store, and it is not on the App Store.

Uninstalling

Remove the app from Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin. What is deleted, and when, is listed on the Formwell privacy policy.
